Picture two men advising me about hair care. What shampoo I should use, and what I shouldn’t. These aren’t just any men, they’re two DESI men, who don’t have any knowledge whatsoever of hair care, especially not FEMALE hair care. And moreover, not LONG FEMALE DESI hair care.

Who would these be, you ask? Well, I went to Target a couple of nights ago, I think I already mentioned that, yeah. Anyways, I’m experimenting with a few different shampoos these days. According to my barberESS, which is female for barber, mind you, my hair had developed split ends because of the shampoo I was using. So she told me to buy the $20 bucks shampoo, no wait, that was my bro’s barberESS. Anyhow, there’s no way in hell I’m going to spend 20 bucks on a darned shampoo, plus conditioner. So I’ve tried two new shampoos so far, and the one I have right now, suits me just well. So I’mma stick to that.

Yeah, so, I used to alternate between herbal essence and suave. Suave sucked badly.

So yeah, here I was sitting after coming home with the new shampoo, which is salonselectives by the way, when my uncle and dad start asking me why I keep switching between hair, skin, body care products. And so I tell them why, but of course, being the stubborn men that they are, they didn’t understand. Anyhow, they went on about how I shouldn’t do that, and stay natural and crap, and I’m like, helloo I do! I use clinique stuff for my face, body wash, shampoo, deodorants, and moisturizing lotion. All of which, mind you, are essential for a women, if not as much for men. And I do not paint my lips and cheeks red, nor do I color my eyes blue in case people are wondering. In other words, make up is not my type. So where does the “be natural” part come in?

Anyways, so in short, I’m sticking to the new shampoo. The conditioner doesn’t smell all that great when applied, but it’s good later on. No pain no gain.

So one of my friends asked me the meaning of “in yo face”. so if anybody out there is wondering, jus to let you know that phrase has the same meaning as “SO THERE!”. Thanks to Afshan for informing me of the synonym. I don’t know how I’d explain people without.

My memory is starting to go bad, hey, I’m growing old aight? Yesterday seems like a mere blur, but yeah, whatever. I got my Clearasil face wash finally, I was running out. And the cats are finally trying to get along. Well, not really, almost. Hey, they’re trying.

I wonder if foot washes exist. I mean, there are body washes, hair washes, body washes, so why not foot washes? Moisturizing lotions don’t do much to the foot heels, or whatever they’re called.

I’m looking for a particular shade of blue lip-gloss, which one of my friends’ had. But god darn it, I can’t find it anywhere. Hey, I said I don’t put on make up, but that doesn’t mean I don’t own any or don’t like lip-gloss. I love lip glosses, especially the yummy flavored kinds. It kind of comes in handy when you go to a dawat and the food is served way late. Like one of those desi shaadi’s where the dulhan comes in finally at around 11:55, and the food is served at 1:00 am, when most people are sleeping, or throwing up.

Anyways, so I was talking about lip-gloss. I want this blue lip gloss so bad, but I can’t find it anywhere at all!!!! GRRRR! For those of yall who’re rolling your eyes to yourself, and muttering “big deaaaaal” well lemme tell ya what. I been searching for this thingamabob for almost two weeks now. And I can’t find that sucker anywhere.

Of course the stores I visited had blue lip glosses, just not the shade I want. Either some are too dark, or too light. Half of them are sitting in the aisles for a darn long time. No one buys them, cuz they’re not the right shade.

My goal today was to bore and freak out the guys by talking womanish; may I ask whether I have accomplished what I desire?
